My Background
Hi, my name is Li Jin. I am a doctoral candidate in the program Second Language Acquisition/Instructional Technology (SLAIT) at University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Currently, I am at the phase of analyzing data and writing up my dissertation: Computer-mediated Peer Revision in ESL Academic Writing. My academic interests include second language acquisition, English as a second langauge (ESL), Chinese as a foreign language (CFL) education, sociocultural theory & cultural historical activity theory, and computer-mediated communication. I have been conducting research on computer-mediated both CFL and ESL learning. My teaching experience is comprised of both adolescent and adult language learning as well as teacher training.
I am originally from China. Having been a doctoral student for five years at USF, some people may think I have a boring life. However, in my eyes, these years have been very productive and enjoyable. I enjoy conducting research as well as teaching. I'm also never tired of yoga, dancing, and movies.
