It also contains correspondances between Grisso and others as they discuss the Black Athena controversy. The information is cited well, but there are no quick-click links to outside material.

Publisher: Mark Alford. Copyright 1997. This site has a short overview of Bernal's view of history and the debate. It has some broken links but successfully links to other sites that give backround information on the topic. There are no citations and no bibliography for further independent research.

California Newsreel Black Athena

This site is only useful in that it provides a place to order a copy of the documentary Black Athena, which explores Bernal's view of Ancient Greek history. There are no links to other sites for added information, and the site only provides a short blurb about the documentary offered.

Free Inquiry "Ancient Histories and Modern Humanities"(review)

Publisher: John R. Lenz. Copyright 1992. This page contains a review of Black Athena Vol. II that was published in Free Inquiry magazine. The link to the classics department webpage for Drew University can provide a good background into the world of Ancient Greece after the period of Bernal's Egyptian influence. The most useful virtual tool is a direct link to Lenz's email.

Chronicle Online "Martin Bernal revisits 'Black Athena' controversy in lecture"

Publisher: Chronicle Online. Copyright: 2007. This page only provides an article about a lecture Bernal gave at Cornell University. However, it does show that the debate still rages on and explains Bernal's theories in layman's terms.

Minoans and Phoenicians "Black Athena, New Proof"

Publisher: Cambridge and Boston Press.. Copyright 2004-2007. This page provides an archeological context to the debate, and the author tries to conclude the debate. The best features are interactive footnotes and links to buy the source books from Amazon.com.
